Apex Advice has announced a series of senior and adviser appointments as it invests in the capability needed for its next stage of growth.
Chief Executive Bronwyn Kirwan joined Apex this year from Fidelity Life, where she was Chief Commercial Officer. Since then she has focused on positioning the business for growth and making good financial advice accessible to more New Zealanders.
Ben Rose joins Apex as General Manager, Business Operations and Delivery on 9 November. He brings extensive experience across lending, insurance and consumer finance, including senior roles with ASB Bank, Sovereign, nib and AA New Zealand, as well as Chief Executive of Binance Australia and New Zealand.
Tony Lane has joined as Head of Risk and Compliance. Previously Chief Risk Officer at Squirrel and, before that, Cigna New Zealand, Tony brings deep expertise across risk, FAP and AML compliance and governance.
Also starting on 9 November, Jamiela Jeffery-Patterson joins as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive, supporting the CEO and executive office as Apex delivers its growth agenda.
Apex is also strengthening its adviser team, with Josh Lose and Sagar Garimella joining on 16 November as the business looks to serve more New Zealanders and broaden access to quality financial advice.
Kirwan said the appointments reflect the company’s ambitions.
“For 30 years Apex has been helping New Zealanders be In A Great Place financially, and we want to help many more. Too many Kiwis still don’t see advice as something for them, and we want to change that. Doing it well means investing in strong leadership, great operations and more good advisers. Tony, Ben, Jamiela, Josh and Sagar each bring real strength to the team.”
Ben Rose said he was excited to join a business with such a clear purpose.
