Apex Advice Group Ltd is a financial advisory firm with a national footprint.  We provide financial advice to consumers and small businesses with focus on mortgages, funds management, KiwiSaver and insurance.  Head office is in Mt Eden, Auckland with regional offices in Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, Te Awamutu, Tauranga and Christchurch.  This is a growing business with 80 staff nationwide, comprising financial advisers and operational teams.

We are now looking for a full time Paraplanner based in our Mt Eden, Auckland office to join our growing team.

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work very closely with our financial advisers.
  • Create and maintain templates for advisers and ensure all documentation created is up to compliance standards.
  • Writing financial planning reports that our advisers present to clients.
  • Supporting the advisers by conducting research on products and help find the right solutions for our clients.
  • Attending relevant adviser meetings and compiling minutes/agenda.
  • Illustration requests and following up on letters of authorities.
  • Keep up to date with financial products and legislation.
  • Compiling client base reporting on funds under management and assisting with newsletter contents
  • Training advisers and team members on compiling advice documentation
  • Due to the nature of the business, the role may also include additional responsibilities considered reasonable.

 

Key requirements

 A reliable individual who has the ability to manage and prioritise workloads.

  • Previous experience as a Paraplanner in insurance and investments preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to produce business level correspondence, proof-read for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Financial planning degree or relevant degrees/diplomas.
